Even since my 11th grade English teacher handed me a camera to take on a trip to Washington in 1978, I have in some form or another been working in photography. Several stints doing High School Senior and Yearbook photo work later, along with about 10 years in theater, it seemed only natural to specialize in portraiture. I like people and quite frankly it’s just not that challenging to get a mountain to hold still and look at the camera.

Most of the portfolio work you see is from the last few years, but some of it dates back to my Minolta 101 days. I have been working in digital format since buying my last roll of film in 2002, and have just recently upgraded to Canon equipment.

I have a fully portable studio that features a Hollywood style blue screen. I worked the Anime convention circuit for a number of years, and introduced Harry Potter fans to Flying Over Hogwartz. Many of my most creative applications of this technique occurred on a combination of no sleep and a sense of humor that never takes a coffee break.

Although my first photographic love is portraiture (natural light and Black and White especially) I am somewhat mercenary at heart and will accept any kind of assignment; However, with one loving exception I don’t do weddings.

Thanks for Stopping!
